Hunting seasons are ramping up. Are you ready?
Maine's early hunting seasons are already underway, with more opportunities just around the corner. From bear hunting and expanded archery deer hunting to grouse, waterfowl, deer, and moose seasons, fall offers countless opportunities to get outdoors and continue Maine's hunting traditions.
Whether you're planning your first hunt, returning to the field after time away, or helping a new hunter get started, now is a great time to prepare. Completing a hunter safety course, reviewing current laws, practicing at the range, and building your outdoor skills can help ensure a safe, ethical, and enjoyable season.
If you need hunter education to purchase a hunting license or permit, Maine offers a variety of in-person and online courses to fit your schedule. We also offer opportunities for experienced hunters to sharpen their skills and confidence before heading afield.
