The residents of Steuben are invited to a public information meeting at our library at 6:00 p.m. on August 20th.

 

A committee has formed as part of the Steuben Historical society to create a National Register District.  Please attend to learn more about it.  Our cultural resource consultant (Kate Cline) will be making a presentation and will be here to answer any questions.

 

This proposed district is only honorific and places no restrictions whatsoever on any property owner.  It is merely being established, with the permission of the town of Steuben,  to record our history and possibly be a way to apply for grants in the future.
